Table Talk...

Dinner last night...
Garrett: "Mommmmeeeeeee, I farted." (huge smile)

Mommy: "Garrett, you should say excuse me when that happens." (in my "mommy voice")

Garrett: "It's not for butts"

Mommy: "What's not for butts?"

Garrett: "Excuse me is not for butts...only for mouffs."

Mommy: "Well, if your butt makes a noise...you need to say excuse me."

Garrett: "But it's only for mouffs not butts."

Okie dokie then.....

So profound for such a little guy.

You can't fault the logic, maybe excuse me is for mouffs and pardon me is for butts, just a thought!!!!

sigh
My "little guy" is 12 and let a long, loud one go at the table last night. One that seemed planned. At least it made him smile a lot.

His dear father excused him from dinner and assigned him clean up duty. This is the same man who let him watch "Blazing Saddles" and laughed with him during the eating beans/farting scene.

When I asked said kid why it was so funny (he was giggling like a girl), he looked at me in shock and said, "Farting's fun."

GAG. ME. WITH. A. SPOON.

Yeah, Garrett farts on command...and he finds it quite humorous! I have to admit...sometimes, so do I. He's definitely a future "blue flamer"
